System separator (water-water chiller)

All models are specially designed according to your existing cooling water network and can be supplied with an output of up to 150 kW.The standard models are all equipped with a bypass, pressure gauge and flow monitor for flow monitoring.
The appliance is switched off in the event of any kind of fault. The temperature is controlled on the secondary side by a motorised valve on the primary side that automatically regulates the volume of domestic water. The stepper motor works in fine steps to achieve a high level of temperature consistency.
This type of cooler becomes more favourable in price compared to refrigeration compression systems the higher the output. This also applies to size ratios and noise levels. These units can be soundproofed particularly well and are relatively quiet and extremely compact at high outputs. Waste heat to the surrounding room is almost negligible. There are no condensation problems as the primary sides are always insulated.
If this type of KÜHLMOBILE is permanently piped, feet are available instead of castors.
There are already many institutes with their own cooling water supply. This cooling water is usually too cold to cool a laser or an electron microscope, for example, or the water is often of poor quality. The KÜHLMOBIL as a system separator offers the ideal solution to these problems and has very small dimensions. It works without a compressor and therefore without refrigerant - energy is only required for the feed pump, as the cooling capacity of the domestic water system is utilised. The sketch on the following page shows the basic operating principle. The purchase price of such an appliance is far below that of a compressor-cooled appliance for larger capacities.
This device works with a 3-way motorised valve. The analogue control signals (0-10 V) achieve constant temperatures and quickly compensate for disturbance variables. This version is also available with a motorised valve that is controlled by a microprocessor-controlled PID controller.
Interpretation
The following house water data is required to design such a cooler:
- Water outlet temperature of the domestic waterside or inlet temperature into the radiator
- Pressure difference of the domestic water network
