Christmas wish campaign
We would like to introduce you to one project in more detail because it has particularly touched us and we are very happy to be involved in it:
There is a campaign right here in Dörentrup called "Christmas Wish Campaign". Residents of the local retirement and nursing homes were asked to make a wish up to a certain amount if they wished. These wishes were packed in envelopes and people could collect them. In 2020, for example, we collected 8 cards and fulfilled a wide variety of wishes for the residents. They included everything from chocolate and chocolates to jogging trousers, scarves, CDs, gloves, a starry dream lamp and a Zippo lighter.
The residents ranged in age from their early 60s to their late 90s, and we were particularly touched by the fact that an old person's Christmas wish could simply be a box of chocolates. We also received very nice feedback, so we think that we contributed to a nice Christmas evening in the retirement and nursing homes with this campaign.
